How To Remove Window Frosting Spray.

Spray on window frosting seems like a great idea but we have found some issues with this type of product. The spray colour isn't uniform and your window will look a bit patchy, if you want a uniform colour on the window you would need to spray a lot, in regards to cleaning its impossible as you will clean the spray off the window. As such today we will discuss how to remove spray on window frosting.

You will need the following items: 
  • 1 x Spray bottle.
  • 1 x Dish-wash liquid /Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo.
  • 1 x Window scraper.
  • 1 x Window cleaning squeegee.
  • 3 x Old towels.
  • Few Old News Papers.

Prepare the windows:

Place the one towel in the windowsill then place the news paper on top of the towel and place one towel on the ground underneath the window if you are indoors. This preparation will help to reduce the mess and cleanup of the surrounding area.

Removing the spray on window frosting:

Spray the window liberally with the dishwash liquid solution mix and use the scrapper to scrap away the spray on window frost. As you scrap make sure you spray the solution as, in dry conditions it will flake off in small particles and in order to keep them from becoming airborne we keep the window panel lubricated this in turn will also stopping any damage from occurring when using the scrapper.

As you scrap your scrapper will become filled with spray on frost, gently shack off the frost onto the newspaper and keep scraping.


Keep doing this till the window panel is completely frost free, make sure to push in towards the window frame and drag the scraper towards yourself slightly to make sure no frost is stuck in the window edge.

Once the windows are frost free, carefully remove the newspapers with the spray on frost particles and dispose of them in a bin. Now you can clean the window with the window cleaning squeegee and another old towel that wasn't used during the scraping process and your windows are now clean and clear.

How To Apply Window Frosting Vinyl?

Before we start, you get two types of applications a wet application and a dry application.
